Who We Are

Your Business. Your Legacy. We’re Here to Help You Think Bigger.

As a business owner, it’s easy to lose sight of the big picture. You wear a whole bunch of hats and it seems like there’s never enough time in the day to make it through your to-do list. So it’s not surprising that most business owners have trouble thinking about their long-term future.

That’s where we come in.

At Soterian, our goal is to help business owners like you think bigger. Bigger than today, bigger than your business, bigger than yourself.

You have the opportunity to shape your own future. But it’s much bigger than that. The actions you take today will shape the generations to follow. Through Intentional Action today, you have the opportunity to make waves that will ripple through the next 150 years.

We’ll help you do it.

Meet Ashley Tison

Ashley Tison founded Soterian in 2005 as a small step toward trying to make a big difference through the application of free enterprise to social problems. As an associate in a big law firm, he desired to harness his entrepreneurial tendencies to try and do as much good as possible, and Soterian became his vehicle for doing so. Originally centered around socially beneficial development and real estate projects, the company transitioned into traditional business consulting as Ashley’s law practice became more focused on mergers and acquisitions. After 17 years of practicing law in North and South Carolina, Ashley sold his law practice in order to concentrate on what had fruited as Soterian’s true value proposition–to guide business owners through the process of creating a culture of accountability and in so doing transform their personal lives, families and businesses. His unique process draws upon his experiences at the Air Force Academy, as a Division I athlete, attorney, business intermediary and executive coach to help owners maximize value in their business while aligning it with their life’s journey and purpose. He guides business owners through the process of prioritizing their life’s objectives in order to create the legacy they desire and how to most effectively lead their teams to do the same.

With a deep respect for those who have served in our country’s military, Ashley is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Patriot Military Family Foundation and is a past board member of the Patriot Charities, Above and Beyond Missions organization and the Fatherhood Resource Center. Ashley is also completing his third year as a member of the Board of the Charlotte Chapter of the Entrepreneur’s Organization.

Ashley lives in Matthews with his wife Christy and three sons, Davidson, Fisher and Mowbray and their yellow lab, Max. He loves to hunt with his sons and his dog Max.
